Pial Khadilla

About

Pial Khadilla is Managing Director ASEAN at the Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT), a pan-Asian think tank, where she has spent over a decade working with senior leaders and institutions across Southeast Asia. Her work focuses on leadership development, organisational transformation, and the governance of emerging technologies in complex environments.

She was recently named a Senior Fellow by the AI for Developing Countries Forum at the United Nations ESCAP, in recognition of her contributions to AI governance and ethical technology across the Asia-Pacific. Her work challenges leaders to address the fundamental questions behind AI, including accountability, risk, and long-term societal impact.

At GIFT, Pial designs and leads executive programmes for organisations including AIA, Petronas, HSBC, CIMB, and ASTRA International, guiding leaders from emerging talent to the C-suite on cultural intelligence, stakeholder alignment, and purpose-driven leadership. She also led the organisation’s expansion into ASEAN, establishing its regional presence in Kuala Lumpur.

With a background spanning banking, entrepreneurship, and executive coaching, Pial brings a distinctive perspective that combines strategic insight with deep human understanding.

In her role as Executive Fellow, Pial will provide guidance on AI governance, leadership development, and organisational transformation, supporting leaders in navigating complexity with clarity and purpose.
